Background & Context
E-Learning is a complex and important area that includes issues of hardware (e.g. Wireless Infrastructure for Swindon), applications (e.g. Virtual Learning Environments for schools and the wider community), and human use (e.g. use of ICT in classroom).
The development of local solutions for the Learning Platform agenda in Swindon is underway. Individual schools have already been pro-active in developing their own responses to the challenge of e-learning for the 21st century. By 2008 all senior schools are required to have a Virtual Learning Environment in place.
