Background & Context
In Swindon, the Aimhigher Programme works with the priority schools identified by the Aimhigher West Area partnership on the basis of socio-economic and progression indicators. These are identical with the Swindon Ten secondary schools. Swindon Ten delivers the Aimhigher programme on behalf of the local authority. The Aimhigher programme is separately funded through HEFCE (Higher Education Funding Council of England) in collaboration with the DCSF.
