What is the Swindon Ten Resource Bank?
The Swindon Ten Resource Bank is a growing set of teaching and learning resources developed by teachers for teachers within the Swindon Ten Learning Network.
If one of us has a teaching resource that works for him or her, chances are that others would benefit from it, too. The idea is that we make everyone's work easier by pooling these resources. "Learning Together, Achieving More".
How can I access the Swindon Ten Resource Bank?
The Resource Bank are password-protected and accessible to staff of Swindon Ten schools only. TO ACCESS THE RESOURCE BANK, LOG IN WITH THE SWINDON TEN USERNAME AND PASSWORD. If you do not know the username and password, please contact the Swindon Ten coordinator, Ben Schmidt, or ask one of the Editors in your school.
How can I contribute resources?
Contributions of learning and teaching resources are most welcome. Please contact any of the Editors in your school or send your material to the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Ben Schmidt. We will be happy to publish it in the Resource Bank area.
We can also show you how to use the simple publishing interface for the website. As a Reporter for the Swindon Ten Resource Bank, you will be able to publish directly to the website.

What are key principles for the Swindon Ten Resource Bank?
- Quality over quantity. Do publish a resource if you found it helpful. Do not publish it if you did not find it helpful.
- Each subject area uses the folder structure that is the best fit for the curriculum content. The decision is made by consensus of editors.
- Be bandwidth-aware. That means, for example, to compress pictures in powerpoint files before publishing. (Don't worry about image files - they are compressed automatically upon uploading.)
Are there restrictions on the use of resources from the Swindon Ten Resource Bank?
Yes. You are more than welcome to use these resources for non-commercial educational purposes. If you intend to use them outside the Swindon Ten context, we ask you to credit Swindon Ten and the author (if named).
Do not use these resources to make money or gain fame unless you are the author. We will prosecute anyone (other than the author) who uses these resources under false pretenses and/or in a non-educational or commercial context.
